By
reducing the page count by over 100 pages through design and layout choices we were able to preserve the valuable content and offer this title at $29.95 reduced from $75.00. Our goal is to make this valuable content more accessible in addition to important environmental savings of paper, water and industrial waste. |
A Message From the Authors: “The three of us long for peace on our planet. We wanted to contribute in some way. We created the toolkit because people were asking us for more activities, beyond sitting in a circle and talking. We wanted to create interactive activities
that would help build the consciousness of NVC in multiple contexts, including prisons, communities, organizations and public institutions. People were also asking us to support them as they developed their ability to use language to live the intention and consciousness of NVC. To do so we created materials with examples and scripts that would help people develop the language and develop their own authentic voice in living NVC. Our goal, by offering these activities and
materials, is for the reader and practitioner to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and in turn, a better understanding of others. When you are able to care for yourself, you are also able to care for others. These are the knowledge, skills and awareness that the work with the toolkit offers. The NVC Toolkit is now in over 65 countries. We sincerely hope that it is useful to people who want to learn and share NVC."

CNVC Fundraiser - Financial Assistance Fund
Help people who can make an impact in the world attend an intensive training Many people around the world are bringing peace and nonviolence into their communities and are eager to learn Nonviolent Communication skills to make an even bigger impact. However, many of them -- particularly people in African, Latin American, and Asian countries -- lack the financial resources to access NVC training
that would enable them to contribute more to nonviolent social change in their communities. By contributing to our Financial Assistance Fund, you can help to make it possible for people like this to attend one of our International Intensive Trainings (IITs) and strengthen their skills in peacemaking and collaborative problem solving.

How Does NVC Help Us in a Situation of Convergent World Crises
The facts about convergent world crises are there: climate instability and extreme weather, biodiversity loss and species extinction, forced migration, economic uncertainty, resource depletion and supply-chain disruption, democracies at risk and the rise of autocratic leaders, a confusing and unhealthy social media environment, technology evolving at rates that seem faster than the growth of human wisdom, the erosion of trustworthy news
sources, the recent and possible future pandemics — and in some places: war and famine. These crises transcend national borders and cultural delineations. Complex social systems overlay and interact with complex natural systems, with dynamics trending in particular though not always clear directions. And complex systems interact with each other in ways we still don’t fully understand. How we approach convergent world crises depends largely on issues of
worldview and identity. Read More
Making Your New Year's Resolutions a Reality! by Beth Banning and Neill Gibson In January it's traditional to make New Year's resolutions. You plan to go to the gym, get into great physical shape, earn more money, improve a troubled relationship, or get along better with your family members. But you suspect that in a few days or weeks you'll get tired of making the
effort and your good intentions will disappear. Maybe you worry about how much effort and work is involved, or you think it isn't possible to have these things. Just like last year, you'll slip back into your old patterns. Would you like to improve your chances of making your resolutions stick? There is a fun and easy way to begin to create your ideal life with little effort on your part. It's called intention. Read More
How to Start Living Your True Potential: Steps to Move Beyond Judgments and Live Your Best Life in the New Year by Mary Mackenzie Do you ever find yourself in the same emotional landscape over and over again? Okay, sure, the scenery and faces around you might be different, but the way you feel — a tangible sense of dissatisfaction — seems all too familiar. Could it be Deja vu?
Karma? A result of your childhood? How can we live up to our true potential, a life filled with relationships and experiences that truly meet our needs, when we keep putting our focus on the outside rather than looking inward? Isn’t it true, that the only common denominator in your experiences is you? Read More
Setting New Year's Resolutions You're Likely to Meet by Tiffany Meyer I’m a big believer in the idea that we’re all a work in progress. I also believe our family — whatever shape it comes in — can be an exceptional source of inspiration and support in our continued self-improvement. The beginning of a new year offers the opportunity to reflect and set goals for self-improvement.
Resolutions can be a great motivator... Read More |

Stay Connected to the Values of Compassion With the Free 365 Daily Peaceful Living Meditations.
If we ourselves remain angry and then sing world peace, it has little meaning. First, our individual self must learn peace. This we can practice. Then we can teach the rest of the world —The Dalai Lama Setting Goals for the New Year What do you want to focus on this year? What are
your goals, hopes, and dreams? It’s important to make your goals concrete and specific. Don’t just say that you want to be happier; consider how you would like your life to be different. What if your goal is to support world peace by living your own life more peacefully? Consider the specific ways you will do this, such as learning Nonviolent Communication, taking a course on anger management, working a twelve-step program, or seeing a therapist. If your goal is to contribute to world peace,
your actions can be very specific and concrete. Avoid focusing on what you don’t want, such as conflict at work. Rather, focus on what you want, such as harmony at work. When your goals are concrete and positively worded, you can begin to manifest them. This simple process can have a profound impact on your success. Take a few minutes today to write down your goals for the year, knowing that the goal-setting
process is the first step toward manifesting your dreams. Sign Up for the 365 Daily Meditations Learn About the Book Here |
